Day 1
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport as per your scheduled flight. Meet & greet by our representative and proceed to Phuentsholing (approx. 170 km / 4.5–5.5 hrs), the gateway to Bhutan. Upon arrival, meet your Bhutanese guide and complete immigration formalities. Thereafter, transfer to the hotel and check in. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing. Note: Guests must cross the immigration terminal on foot with their luggage. The Indian vehicle will drop guests at the Indian border gate and then drive through the gate to the Bhutan side. After completing immigration formalities, board the vehicle for the transfer to the hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Thimphu (approx. 150 km / 4.5–5.5 hrs), the capital city of Bhutan.En route, enjoy the scenic mountain drive and reach an elevation of approximately 2,800 m (9,185 ft.). Pass by the beautiful Chukha Bypass Waterfall; if traffic and road conditions permit, you may stop for a quick photo opportunity. Please note that the road near the waterfall is narrow, and stops are subject to local traffic conditions and safety considerations. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in to the hotel and relax. Or in the evening, you may explore the city and local markets on your own. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Begin with a visit to Buddha Point (Buddha Dordenma), home to one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering spectacular views of the Thimphu Valley. The statue was constructed through donations from devotees from across the globe. Continue to the Motithang Takin Preserve, where you can observe the takin, Bhutan’s unique national animal, in its natural surroundings. Next, visit the National Library, which houses an extensive collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts, scriptures, and historical texts. Later, explore the Folk Heritage Museum, a beautifully preserved three-storey traditional Bhutanese house dating back over 150 years, showcasing the lifestyle, culture, and artifacts of rural Bhutanese households. Also visit the Thimphu Handicraft Market, where you can browse a variety of locally made handicrafts, textiles, and traditional Bhutanese souvenirs. After the sightseeing tour, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
Day 4
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Punakaha/Wangdue (70 kms / 2 hrs) - Enroot visit Simtokha Dzong proceed to Wangduephodrang, with a stop en route for tea at Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. In Wangdue, stop at Mehsina village & visit Chime Lhakhang - The Temple of Fertility built in 15th century by Lama Drukpa Kinley. (This monk is popularly known as the Divine Madman for his philosophy, “Salvation through sex”). Have your lunch and in afternoon drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, and visit Punakha Dzong, which is noteworthy both for being one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan and also for having been built by the first Shabdrung in 1637. Also visit the Punakha Suspension bridge - The second longest suspension bridge in Bhutan , its perche cover the Mo – chhu and Po Chhu river and is about 160-180meters in length –its one of the oldest bridge in the world that connects Punkaha Dzong to the rest of the valley - Overnight at Punakha/Wangdue.
Day 5
Today is Leisure day, take a break and relax at your hotel. Overnight at Punakha/Wangdue.
Day 6
Early breakfast check-out & transfer to Paro, (Approx 120km / 3-4hrs drive) covering some on way sightseeing. Every turn on the way comes with surprise and scenic view of the mountain and nature. Visit the historic ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong, built in 1647. Also visit the Paro airport view point, Reach Paro & Paro local sightseeing – covering Dungtse Lhankhang, Nya-mey Zam, UgyenPelri Palace - Check in - Leisure - Overnight at Paro.
Day 7
Breakfast, proceed towards Tiger Nest viewPoint for photo session. Drive to Chele-la-Pass which is the highest motorable road pass in Bhutan at about 13,000 ft offering spectacular views of the snowcapped Himalayan ranges. This sacred prayer flag-bedecked pass is an area rich in Bhutanese flora and birdlife and offers some very picturesque soft treks. Later you drive back to Paro. Later, visit Local market at Paro. Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 8
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway town of Bhutan located along the Indo-Bhutan border. Enjoy the scenic journey through beautiful mountain landscapes, lush forests, and charming Bhutanese villages. Upon arrival in Phuentsholing, visit Kharbandi Gompa (Rinchending Monastery), beautifully situated on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Phuentsholing and the surrounding plains. Later, visit Zangto Pelri Lhakhang, a serene temple built in traditional Bhutanese architectural style and dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. Thereafter, check in to the hotel. The evening will be free at leisure. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 9
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and Your Indian vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the Bhutan Gate to complete the exit immigration formalities. Please note that guests are required to cross the immigration terminal on foot with their luggage. After completing the immigration process, meet your vehicle on the Indian side of the border and proceed to Bagdogra Airport (approx. 160 km / 4.5–5.5 hrs). Upon arrival at the airport, board your flight and begin your return journey to your hometown with wonderful memories of Bhutan.
